Beth Warren, Associate Director, has been named a finalist in the Outstanding Individual category at the Bristol Property Awards 2026, rounding up a busy couple of years of award wins and nominations for her.
The awards celebrate the best of Bristol’s property sector, with winners chosen by an independent panel of judges. The winners will be revealed at the awards event on 27 November.
While we wait for the announcement of this year’s winner, we take a look at why Beth is such a great fit for the award:
Making property a more inclusive industry
Beth’s nomination recognises her work in making Bristol’s property industry a place where people can build a career at any stage of life. She has a special focus on supporting working parents and those returning from a career break as well as bringing in people from underprivileged backgrounds.
Community, policy and opportunity
Beth is the founder of Property Parents, a networking group that began as an informal meet-up of just seven people while she was on maternity leave. It now brings together more than thirty parents from across the city’s property firms at its quarterly events, with an active online community run in partnership with Women in Property. Its daytime, family-friendly format where children are welcome makes it stand out from the usual crowdof professional networking events.
Within Hartnell Taylor Cook, Beth wrote the business case and wellbeing survey behind the firm’s first Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group. She also authored our back-to-work policy, which has supported colleagues returning from parental leave, and helped create a wellbeing room for breastfeeding, prayer and mental health breaks that is now used regularly across the team.
Beyond our own office walls, Beth has helped open doors into the industry through partnerships with Bristol charities Empire Fighting Chance and Women’s Work Lab, creating work experience opportunities for young people and women who might not otherwise have considered a career in property. She also co-runs a sweatworking series for Women in Property, mentors a student through the same organisation, and has supported a graduate surveyor she line manages through to passing his APC.
Recognition so far
Beth’s work has already been recognised externally. She was named Property Week’s Inspiring Women In Property EDI Champion of the Year (commercial sector) in October 2025, and was shortlisted for the Bristol Women’s Charter Awards 2025. She has also been promoted twice in three years at Hartnell Taylor Cook, most recently to Associate Director.
Beth Warren, Associate Director at Hartnell Taylor Cook, said:
“I’m honoured to be named a finalist alongside such an impressive group of people. Property Parents began because I couldn’t find anywhere for parents in our industry to connect, and seeing it grow into a real community, with policies and opportunities to match, has been incredibly rewarding. Inclusion isn’t a side project, it’s good business, and I’m grateful to my colleagues at Hartnell Taylor Cook, Women in Property and everyone across Bristol who has helped this work grow.”
Everyone at Hartnell Taylor Cook is incredibly proud of Beth and of the difference she is making, both within our firm and across Bristol’s property community. We wish her the very best of luck on the day, and congratulations to all of this year’s finalists.
